"We've Got a Little List . . ."

    Have you checked it yet? As coordinator for the Department for the Ministry of Christian Education for the diocese, my desk is often covered with announcements and flyers about meetings, events and conferences. THE PROBLEM: How best to let you know about these opportunities, how to determine which of these great events to promote and how to do all of this in a timely manner. Hence, "The List" was born! First available only in paper, it is now on the Diocese of Oregon Web page www.diocese-oregon.org.   There is no excuse not to know about it, learn from it, and enjoy. "The List," officially known as "Opportunities for Learning," is produced four times a year – December, March, June, and September. The Web page is updated as frequently as needed.

    "Opportunities for Learning" includes both local and distant events as well as professional gatherings that may be of interest to educators. Each entry on "The List" will tell you the where, when, and what for each event as well as how to make contact in order to participate.

    To access "Opportunities for Learning" on the Internet, call up the Web Page for the Diocese of Oregon (www.diocese-oregon.org). Click on the button "Ed. Resources" on the left side of the home page and it will take you to a menu that includes "Opportunities for Learning".

    This list is available in hard copy to church leaders and educators who don’t have access to the Internet, by request. (These lists often exceed 20 pages, so be kind to trees and the postal service. If you have internet access, or know someone who does, please make the "hard copy" version your second choice).
