With a celebration of El dia de los muertos on All Saints’ Day, St. Catherine of Alexandria, Manzanita, began a new ministry to north Tillamook County Hispanic residents.  By Christmas and early January the congregation grew to over 40, including many youth and children.  They meet regularly on Monday evenings for Eucharist.  We have been blessed to have Fr. George and Jean Hemingway move to Nehalem and St. Catherine.  In addition to all he continues to do in “retirement”, the amazing and curious George is giving generously of his boundless linguistic skills and evangelistic energies to begin this exciting new ministry.  With the enthusiastic support of the BAC and members of a new Hispanic Ministry Team a new era has begun at St. Catherine of Alexandria/Santa Catalina de Alejandria.
