A special session of Safeguarding God’s Children has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon, May 4 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Portland.  A light lunch will be served at 12:00 noon and the training will begin promptly at 12:30.  This is in addition to the sessions previously scheduled for St. Bartholomew’s in Beaverton and St. Timothy’s in Salem from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19.

Safeguarding God’s Children is currently required for all clergy, senior wardens and all volunteers who work with children and youth.  Beginning in the fall, it also will be required for all vestry and BAC members.  According to our diocesan policy, this training must be renewed every ten years.  Cost is $10 per person.  Click here for on-line registration.  For further information contact Barbara Ross, Missioner for Christian Education and Lifelong Formation, at 1-800-452-2562x111, 971-204-4111, or barbarar@diocese-oregon.org.
