  • Standing Committee presents to diocesan staff
  • Communicates process design, receive input and answer questions, solicit support

July 18-19

  • Training in Appreciative Inquiry
  • Prepares facilitators for convocation and convention presentations on Appreciative Inquiry
  • Train prospective members of Search and Transition Committees

July 25

  • Standing Committee presents proposed budget to Board of Trustees
  • Seeks approval of requested funds

August

  • Standing Committee presents to convocations
  • Describes transition protocol to delegates and clergy
  • Defines role clergy and delegates play in the process
  • Presents the qualifications for potential members of Search and Transition Committees
  • Presents “Call to Ministry” document
  • Clarifies budget and source of funds

August-September

  • Convocations recommend individuals for Search and Transition Committees

  • Election (The election will take place during the 121st Diocesan Convention at the Eugene Hilton, November 19-21, 2009)

  • Standing Committee seeks consents
  • Bishops and standing committees of the Episcopal Church will be asked to consent to our election

  • Bishop-elect moves to Oregon
