Children's Advocacy Day Highlights Millennium Development Goals

Children’s Advocacy Day rally goers brought new children’s shoes to donate, which were placed on a walking labyrinth.   A father and son enjoy the puppet show at Children’s Advocacy Day 2007.   Families enjoyed the entertainment, including three choirs, at Children’s Advocacy Day.   “Kids on the Block” Puppet Theater performed a skit about healthful snacks.
   
Rev. Paul R. Swanson, Bishop of the Oregon Lutheran Synod, and his wife, Mary, attended Children’s Advocacy Day, where he made closing remarks along with Bishop Johncy Itty of Episcopal Diocese of Oregon.   The Rev. Stephen Schneider, rector of Grace-Memorial Episcopal Church in Portland, joined Bishops Swanson (left) and Itty at Children's Advocacy Day in Pioneer Square on April 22.   Marjean Johnson, a congregant of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Albany, manned one of the organizational display tables at Children’s Advocacy Day.   Stephanie Wight (left), resource library coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon, and Ellen Nesbitt, the diocesan representative to Episcopal Relief and Development, share some close time while manning one of the organizational tables at Children’s Advocacy Day.
