Christian Formation

The Ministry of Lifelong Christian Formation supports the congregations in the diocese by helping them develop education programs. We maintain resources, provide training and support for educators, and offer consultation. We maintain a complete library with videos, curriculum, and other pertinent materials in both English and Spanish. The collection includes Godly Play books and resources.

Training and opportunities for interaction are available for diocesan Christian educators and Sunday-school teachers. A popular offering has been the Peace Village, a way for adults and young people to experience the unity of all of God’s children. We offer workshops in teaching methods and review curricula.

The Ministry of Lifelong Christian Formation is chaired by Cindra Gray of St. Michael/San Miguel, Newberg.  Barbara Ross, Missioner for Lifelong Christian Formation serves as staff liaison. We meet every 4-6 weeks in Salem.
