The Constitution and Canons is the fundamental document by which a diocese functions. The constitution describes who we are and, among other things, our relationship to The Episcopal Church. The canons define the regulations and rules for implementation and structure. Changes are proposed and adopted at each annual convention.
The current version of the Constitution and Canons was adopted at the 129th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Oregon in Salem on October 28, 2017.
A new version, adopted at the 130th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Oregon in Seaside on November 3, 2018 will take effect January 1, 2019.
