Works on this theme are especially welcome; however, all quality submissions will be considered.
Art juried in the exhibit will be displayed July 8 – Sept 9, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland.
An opening Forum with artists will be held Sunday, July 8 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a reception at 11:00 a.m. The reception will include a vocal music performance centered on Mary Magdalene.

The digital entries deadline June 1, 2018.
Artwork cannot exceed 36” in any dimension.
Due to space restrictions, a maximum of 30 pieces will be juried into the exhibit.
Each artist will submit, in digital format, 1-2 pieces to be selected in the show.
Send files as high-quality JPEG files (1800 pixels on longest dimension) to Arts@Trinity-Episcopal.org no later than June 1, 2018.
There is a $25 registration fee due with your submission. The fee is payable during art check-in by check or credit card.
Check-in artwork at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Kempton Hall will be Tuesday, July 3 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For those who can’t make this time due to extreme hardship or wish to mail artwork, contact Randall Vemer firstname.lastname@example.org, 503-713-8829.
Note: We will be having Artist Forum Sunday, July 8 at 9:00 a.m., where we invite artists willing to speak about their work to the congregation. Please let us know if you will attend by signing up when you check-in your artwork.

Check-out artwork is 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9 after the final public showing, and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10.
We cannot be held responsible for artwork that is not collected by September 10.
Artwork Label Information Request due June 1, 2018
Please provide us with the following information so that we can prepare your exhibition label.

- Caption (optional): This could be a short statement or quotation or a poem, etc., anything that you would like to say to the viewer about your artwork. Maximum length of text should not exceed a total of 450 letters and spaces.

Paintings must be framed to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral standards and ready to hang.
All frame styles are acceptable.
Frames should (if possible) have hanging wire secured with D-ring style hangers. Screw eyes sometimes pull out. No saw tooth hangers.
No wet paint.
Unframed “gallery wrapped” canvases must have:
– Sides painted, NO raw canvas showing
– NO staples showing
– MINIMUM DEPTH – 1 ½ inches
Taut wire must be attached to the frame not the painting.
Color mats are acceptable/Dark mats are acceptable.
MAXIMUM framed dimension if possible – 48 inches – on any side.
Entries larger than 22″ x 28″ – outside dimension – MUST be Plexiglas, due to weight restrictions – No scratches.
If possible at check-in, print out thumbnail photo of your entry with name of your piece, dimension, medium, pricing, etc. so we have a record. Plus your name and contact information.
