Diocesan Convention 2018: Living Generously

Diocesan Convention 2018: Living Generously

One of the joys when we come to Convention is joining together to share out of our abundance. This year, our generosity flowed in four directions:

A Holy Eucharist Offering raised $3,989.26 for the clergy of the Diocese of Cuba, which was readmitted to The Episcopal Church this year after being exiled in the 1967.

The All Saints Eucharist Offering and Basket Raffle ticket sales, for a combined total of $5,437.85, went to the Commission on Poverty and Homelessness for grants that will be awarded to churches in 2019.

A Panty Drive for Rahab’s Sisters collected almost one thousand pairs of underwear for women experiencing homelessness and poverty in Portland.

Spare change totaling $157.03 went into the United Thank Offering Little Blue Boxes and will be added to offerings from other dioceses to support innovative mission through The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.
