Introduction to Centering Prayer Workshop
October 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Centering Prayer is a form of meditation rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, and popularized in recent decades by Father Thomas Keating, a Trappist monk. The purpose of Centering Prayer is to foster deeper intimacy with God through silence and stillness. During meditation we enter the inner room that Jesus referred to in the Sermon on the Mount, and invite God’s presence and action within. Join us for a three-hour workshop on Zoom as we explore the inner work of entering into Centering Prayer. This workshop is appropriate for beginners or anyone wishing to refresh their practice.
