Refer to the map and then choose the area that corresponds to your church. Some priests may be available in more than one area.

Areas of diocese for supply clergy would be defined as:

North Coast which includes the coastline from Astoria to Waldport

Greater Portland, area from St. Helens south to Wilsonville and from Hillsboro to Gresham

Willamette includes Newberg, McMinnville; the wider I-5 corridor from Woodburn to Cottage Grove; also includes Florence.

Southern Oregon, includes the coast from Coos Bay to Brookings and along I-5 from Sutherlin to Ashland

Supply Clergy Compensation

The recommended Diocesan minimum standard for Supply Clergy Compensation as applied on October 2009 is as follows:

  • 2 Sunday services with sermon - $200
  • 1 Sunday service with sermon - $150
  • One service without sermon, midweek or Sunday - $100
  • All rates are plus mileage, based on current IRS mileage rates.

Vestries and Bishop’s Advisory Committees are urged to pass a resolution designating all future Supply Clergy Compensation as reimbursement for Housing and Utilities, in accordance with standard IRS regulations
