Music at St Luke’s ~ San Lucas

St Luke’s ~ San Lucas is a growing bilingual parish of the Episcopal Church in Vancouver, Washington founded in 1853. Fine music for worship has always been a hallmark of the Episcopal Church. At St Luke’s ~ San Lucas we endeavor to continue that long-standing tradition.

At present, the music program includes an adult choir of approximately 20-plus musicians that sings every Sunday at the 10 AM choral eucharist services from September to mid-June, a handbell choir that provides embellishment to the hymns and service music along with occasional anthems, and a small band of singers, guitarists and other instrumentalists who lead the music at the 1 PM Spanish-language service.

The Position:

We are looking for a versatile, committed, energetic and enthusiastic musician to serve as Director of Music/Organist. This is a half-time position, 20 hours per week, 12 months per year. Salary is $30,000-35,000 annually.
