Whether new to the Enneagram or seeking a refresher, this workshop promises to inform and deepen our understanding and application this incredible tool in our lives and work.  In this workshop, we will use the Enneagram in the context of our relationships. In any relationship, be it friendship, family, work or romantic, most of us can remember disagreeing about something insignificant.  Often, a minor spat can spiral into a major conflict without deeper exploration.  The Enneagram is a powerful tool to get to the heart of the matter in conflict, as well as deepen intimacy by helping us to identify our own blind spots and compulsions.

In relationship, the Enneagram also helps us cultivate understanding and empathy for the blind spots and compulsions of those we interact with.  Perhaps we identify first as The Protector, someone who brings focus to the value of strength; while our friend is The Romantic, someone who brings focus to the value of inner experience. Understanding these “lenses” through which we filter information can help us focus on useful ways to deepen our interactions.  This understanding creates a bridge to support better communications, more ease, and greater compassion.

Join us as we engage in lively dialogue and vibrant inquiry about the nine types. Appropriate for all levels.

Follow-up classes:

Enneagram in Relationship Wednesdays, February 5, 12, 19 & 26, 7:00 pm Facilitators: Leslie Carveth and Lauren Loos, LPC

Spiritual Direction: What is it? Is it for You?

Spiritual Direction: What is it? Is it for You?

Bishop Katharine Lounge
September 22nd, 9:15 am and Noon

Cammie Bella will be presenting a session on Spiritual Direction:  What is it? Is it for You? on Sunday morning, September 22nd.  She’ll do this twice to accommodate those who attend the two different worship services.

We are all spiritually hungry, whether we are aware of it or not.  Some of us are seeking a companion who “listens for God” with us along our journeys.  Spiritual Direction is a venue for folks who will walk with us on this journey.  The Spiritual Director is concerned with the whole person.  Cammie will be sharing more about the practice and tradition of Spiritual Direction – what it is and what it is not. What kind of preparation/education Spiritual Directors have and how one goes about finding a Spiritual Director.

Come and hear more about it and ask if such a relationship might be a “good fit” for you on your journey.

These sessions are brought to you by your Spiritual Nurture Committee.  Cammie is a Spiritual Director, Licensed Lay Preacher, and retreat and class leader.

Cammie Bella will be presenting a session on The Art of Soul Friendship:  Listening with Presence on Sunday, September 15.  She’ll do this twice to accommodate those who attend the two different worship services.

In the Celtic tradition, there’s a beautiful understanding of love and friendships. Anam is the Gaelic word for soul and cara is the word for friend.  So anam cara is the Celtic word for soul friend. Cammie will be sharing some thoughts on being and having a soul friend along with some reflection questions and a short video.

There is no charge for attending.  These sessions are brought to you by the Good Sam Spiritual Nurture Committee.
