Weekly Evensong

Beginning September 8, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral will offer Evensong every Sunday at 5 pm. Join us for this weekly liturgical feast of scripture and music led by the Cathedral clergy and by Trinity’s musicians—as well as an array of visiting choirs and organists.

Guest conductor David Hurd (St. Mary the Virgin, New York City)

David Hurd, Organist-Choirmaster of the Episcopal Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Times Square, New York City, will serve as guest conductor and organist at Trinity on Sunday, 6 October. The Trinity choirs will sing choral and congregational music by Mr. Hurd at both the 10 am Eucharist and the 5 pm Evensong, and included in that repertoire will be the premiere of a new set of Evensong responses commissioned by Trinity Music. In addition, Mr. Hurd will play the pre-Evensong organ recital, at 4:30 pm, featuring his four-movement suite entitled Te Deum laudamus. Mr. Hurd is one of America’s most renowned church musicians, and his music is sung by choirs and congregations worldwide.

Third Thursday Evensong

Evensong on the Third Thursday of every month, led & sung by the trebles of the Trinity Choir School. Join us behind the altar rail in the choir for this monthly service.

Evensong and Organ Recital

The Cathedral choirs sing their final Evensong of the 2017-18 season, preceded by a free organ recital by Susan Jane Matthews (Burlingame, CA) at 4:15 pm.
